If natural parents have married each other since the birth registration they are required to re-register the birth of their child using an LA1 form.

If the birth was registered without father's details and you wish to add in the natural father you need to complete a GRO 185 form. Please note: if you adding natural father's details, both parents must attend the appointment.

Please download the correct form to complete beforehand and bring to your appointment, along with any full birth certificates showing parents details that you have previously purchased and your certificate to prove you have been married or formed a civil partnership if you are completing an LA1 form.
